2022 NFL Gameday Thread: C’mon Damar (Part 1)

I’m a Lakers fan with no connection to LA. But I’ve been one for about 4 decades. When I was a kid, it seemed that most of the nationally televised games were Lakers games, and Magic was awesome, so that was the hook. And there was no NBA team anywhere near where I lived. There have been plenty of lean years, and I hung in there through all of them. Nevertheless, jumping on the bandwagon (even as a 7ish-year-old) is still uncool, and I’ll take the heat for that.

‘lean years’?! They won like 10 championships in the last 40 years?!

I have absolutely zero against Red Wings fans who have ever lived in the state of Michigan, and you obviously have a coherent fandom with Sparty. My ex-BILIL has not ever lived in Michigan, and his fandom is a mess. He’s never lived in Georgia or Indiana, either. Only Texas.

I think the thing I’m most disappointed about is that I’ll never find out what that final play was supposed to look like.

That last Cowboys punt at the end was lol, but they were really handed a shit sandwich there with a 4th and long that they probably convert 20% of the time given the circumstances. If they somehow are able to run the punt team out instantly and kick it with 2:20 left or something I don’t hate it as much.

As played, I almost think once all that time ticked off they shoulda just let it go down to the 2MW and then tried to come up with a good play and trot the offense back out after. It was especially bad when SF fielded the punt with 2:05 left, I knew any competent coach was gonna take advantage of that and use the free chance to throw there.

It seems like Dak just doesn’t process information fast enough. Obviously Burrow and Mahomes have better receivers but it’s night and day. Dak both goes away from his primary too early and takes forever thereafter. Also he doesn’t feel running opportunities and is inaccurate. His contract is so LOL.

The funny story on that guy (IIRC) is that isn’t his girlfriend. It’s his ex that he told his current girlfriend he wasn’t seeing anymore.

Your team lost painfully, you become a meme, and your girlfriend dumps you for getting busted on national TV pity-cuddling with your ex. Bad day indeed.

Pollard suffered fractured left fibula. That sucks, pretty sure he is a free agent now.

Surely, there was a team closer than the Lakers: geographically, culturally, ethically.

Yeah, there was. Pretty much all of them. I guess closest was about 600-700 miles away by car.

More than half the games I saw on TV were Lakers games, so they were the team that my young self was most exposed to. No other sports fans in my family. So as far as exposure, Lakers were #1. It wasn’t really a conscious choice. I was about 7 years old when I started watching NBA, so I wasn’t really contemplating the cultural and ethical aspects of sports fandom.

His kitchen layout is horrific and whoever designed that house makes me angry.

Well, there were a few at least. I realize no one is sorry for Laker fans. Even legit ones.

Seriously. I assume he is rich, but the layout is one you would use if you had very limited space.

If it is actually in a house (and not an apartment/condo), then I agree that it is terrible.

If you’re gonna fracture something, I think that’s a pretty good one, IIRC. Prognosis should be very good.

The ceiling drops down, why is there a door where he makes his entrance? Horrible layo . Range hood vent is boxed out. Looks like has long bath rug between island and counter. I hate this guy

Enraging and he probably spent a fortune on that trash

Mattress Mack called out Dak
