2022 NFL Gameday Thread: C’mon Damar (Part 1)

The only lower seed I am feeling is Dallas, even with all bias set aside.

Lions won 8 of their last 10 games

They are gonna be favored, though, aren’t they?

maybe not, the cowboys have struggled playing in grass this year

So Niners most likely get Seattle and the lolVikings? Tough path

Do you take that or bye and then Dallas? Pretty close, imo. One extra week of rest is yuuge.

And if you can’t be Dallas at home, you don’t deserve to ship anyway.

If you do the bye and Dallas you also have to assume you play Phi afterward. So 2 difficult games or 2 easy and a difficult. I think the latter is a better option. Especially when youre on the roll the niners are on. A bye week might do more harm than good

Even though hawks are not good I wouldn’t be thrilled if I was the niners. division rival for the 3rd time in same year isn’t walk in park.

indeed, I believe they did beat the rams twice before that playoff game they lost between them

Kind of agree, but SF Defense too good. Maybe they will cover, tho.

I think of the teams available, the Hawks are the clearest “team you want to play” team.

Nah. Dolphins. Especially if Tua-less. But even with Tua, they’re still #1.

Yeah, I meant more the NFC. Dolphins and Jags are both below Ssahawks I think

Yeah crazy trade could well be win-win. Lions got a (relatively) cheap maybe fringe (at least this year of weak QB play) top-10 QB (25.6m and then 26.6m), pick 6 in this year’s draft. Rams got championship (completely fucked now and maybe stafford retires but whatever). Goff looks 100000x better this year than last few for Rams when he got found out post SB loss to Belichick

Aside from the terrible Packers offense as usual and the bonehead personal fouls, that’s why I didn’t buy the whole “oh, the Packers have a huge advantage if the Lions have nothing to play for.” The Lions played all their regulars, wanted to beat the Packers’ asses, and had nothing to lose, hence going for it on 4th at the end, plus that trick play on 2nd down. If they are concerned about missing the playoffs, decent chance they do neither of those things.

lol Packers played a historically garbage defense twice and scored below the average points the Lions gave up per game in both games combined.

Oopty mother fucking OOP for the win!!

People saying the Lions had nothing to lose but it sure looked like MCDC was in jeopardy of losing a nose.
