We kind of had that with Staley last year.
The problem is with the first bad run of not converting - the media just descends on the coach, which causes the fans to also turn on him. It seems to have broken Staley into being too conservative this year.
Of course the sports punditry machine ignore the games SD won early in the year going for it in places no other coach would. Those were just lucky gambling. The bad run was his recklessness come home to roost.
