Arizona looking more bleak to me.
In 2020, Kelly was up by 7 points in the polls. He won by about 2.
Now the recent polls have him up by 2.
If they did something to safeguard democracy then democracy wouldnât be on the ballot anymore so people wouldnât vote for Dems and they couldnât save democracy.

Every election in my lifetime has been framed as democracyâs last stand against the existential threat posed by the other side. Probably is this time, but yeah, been there done that.
I remember the first time I had dissonance about this was in 2012 when there were a lot of articles about how Mitt would Destroy America As We Know It. Like fine, his policies were not good compared to Obama but ⌠REALLY? The gap between Mitt Romney and Barrack Obama was big enough to make the election a threat to the nation? OBAMAâS SIGNATURE POLICY IS MITTâS HEALTH CARE PLAN!

The current existential threat is second only to 2020 with Trump directly on the ballot.
Dems putting up trash candidate Dukakis in 88 started all this. That got us Clarence.
Then the history of 1968-1992 have 20/24 Republican presidents gave us an R SCOTUS and Gore v Bush which really accelerated things.
Followed by the absolute theft of seats by Mitch.
Keeping control of the senate is absolutely critical. Losing the house is going to be a very annoying shot show and kill legislative initiative. Losing the senate is a catastrophe.
