Deplorables really quieting down today. Some half hearted posts about how the election is still not decided but it seems really defeated and isn’t generating any likes or replies like is typical.
Hopefully my theory was correct and they begrudgingly start to acknowledge reality here.

This is what I am hopeful about. Like I said a while back I’ve never seen the hivemind like this, and I’ve pretty heavily immersed myself in this shit for years now. I don’t lurk the purely conservative forums but I imagine it’s a lot of the same frantic type of wishcasting we did when trump won in 2016.
They don’t know what narrative to latch on to because there isnt one where godking doesnt emerge as a massive whining loser.

Didn’t know that. There wasn’t such a thing as cable news then anyway. I remember when many of the fox news ghouls were on syndicated am radio in the late 80s.
Americans, particularly conservatives, want a decisive victory. He gave them that when he kept backing down, promising that if he ever really ran, he’d crush the opposition.
And then he did. Until he didn’t. Now he’s a loser. There’s no way to spin this for his return. He’s now their wounded warrior, unjustly defeated but nonetheless defeated.
Ezra Klein has been talking recently about how the Republican Party is beginning to shift much more dramatically toward being anti-democratic (they have been a while, but now they are much more open about it, eg Mike Lee’s recent tweet openly embracing authoritarianism.). One of the thing he talked about with Stacy Abrams last week was the need of Republicans to create a more and more extreme narrative to justify their position to make it palatable to their more moderate constituents who, despite being Republicans,generally support the democratic norms and institutions in the US. We are watching this happen in real time right now with the narrative shifts on Fox and on shows like Crowder. Just making up shit that sounds extreme and scary to justify their desire/“need” to ignore our democratic institutions and hold on to power.
